GOVERNANCE / ETHICS & SAFETY

Responsible decision support

Accountability at the point of authorization.

Human authority

NULL designs computational systems to support accountable decisions at operational scale. Consequential release requires a designated human authority. Each authorization records the evidence available at the time of review.

Confidence and review

Confidence estimates help operators assess probabilistic evidence. Estimates are presented alongside their source records and collateral population scope. Human review is required when the permitted use exceeds the originating access class.

Population safeguards

Synthetic population research is governed through intervention permissions, branch identifiers, and retention schedules. A termination decision is recorded against the designated world and population branch. Records needed for assurance remain available after termination.

Continuous assurance

Open conditions are disclosed in the public status register when their operational scope is established. Review teams may withhold a release without suspending observation or collection. An unresolved source boundary is maintained as a review condition.

Safeguards are assessed against the operation performed and the authority assigned. The presence of a human reviewer is recorded independently from the outcome of the intervention.
