RESEARCH / HISTORICAL COMPARISON

Historical reruns

Divergence from a common initial state.

Comparison protocol

A selected century in Sandbox 009 is observed across four parallel histories. Each rerun begins from the same retained state. Population trajectories are compared over the same synthetic interval; elapsed observation time is recorded separately.

RunInitial statePublic disposition
009.014,117,028,900Observation retained

009.034,117,028,900Observation retained

Population forking

A fork creates a new population history. Agent identifiers are qualified by the branch identifier after divergence. Similarity between agents on different branches does not establish continued identity.

Communication records may be correlated between runs. Such correlation does not merge the populations or reinstate a terminated branch.
